Colour Consultancy

Why 1:1 colour consultancy?

Choosing the colours for your home is one of the most important things when it comes to getting the look of a room just right. Colour is so deceptive and it all depends on how much natural light you have or don't have. Whether your project is a total renovation or a few rooms in need of a refresh, I can use my extensive colour knowledge and guide you in choosing a well-considered colour palette for your home. Choosing a colour is often overwhelming, time-consuming and expensive. Booking a colour consultation takes away the stress and makes the process more fun.

How does virtual colour consultancy work?

Virtual colour advice takes place via Teams. After you book your consultation you will receive a questionnaire to complete, along with a request to send photos and videos of the rooms you want to decorate. This information is required no later than 24 hours before the consultation.

Prior to the planned consultation, you will receive a link by email with which you can participate in the video call where you will meet me. From there, you'll be presented with a colour palette that is tailored to your home and lifestyle and reflects your personal aesthetic. If you have any doubts about the colour palette, we can take another look together during the conversation and find the perfect shade. I work with the colour palettes of Farrow & Ball, Little Greene and Sigma. It is a good idea to have these colour charts on hand and use as a reference during the consultation.

How many rooms can be covered in one hour?

Advice is shared for approximately four rooms in one hour. The minimum appointment time is one hour, but if necessary you can book additional time in increments of 30 minutes.

Do I have to be present at the decoration location during the video call?

No, you don't have to be on site for the video call, but if possible it can be useful as you can view the colours and give your feedback. Colour is so deceptive and it depends on how much natural light you have or don't have.

What happens after the conversation?

After the colour advice, you will receive a colour specification report by e-mail. The report lists the types of wallpaper and paints along with the recommended primers, base coats and finishes per room. You will receive a concise colour report that you can hand over directly to your painter and/or decorator.

Cost

I charge €140 per hour and you can book extra time in 30 minute increments for €70 if necessary.

If you're thinking of introducing a little refresh to your home or just want to discuss your ideas with me and gain the confidence you need to make the changes, I'd love to hear from you!
