Round 1:

start with making a Magic Ring, ch 1

Round 1:
5 sc (hold the sides straight in a line while you pull the magic ring tight to make a half circle, 1 ch, turn.

Round 2:
2 sc in each sc (10 sc).

Round 3:
2 sc in first sc, sc next 2 sc repeat 2 times, 2 sc in last sc (13 sc). Bind off with a long tail for sewing.
