I thought there would be a higher response to my previous post but apparently there are just a few of you who care about paint instead of the hundreds I thought. So I'll keep this post, and subject, short.

Yvonne, where can I find that amazing poster with the squash on it from your kitchen??!!
Wonderful inspiration as always. You have such a lovely home.
I very much appreciated the paint post and have been on the lookout for it ever since you hinted that you were going to write it. You may not believe this, but i have spent the past 3 weeks of my life trying to match the pink paint in your studio! I have wanted to paint a room in my house that same pink ever since i saw your first post about it years ago, but it took a while before i had the chance to actually do that, and when I finally did and wanted to go back and look up the color, you had deleted your entire blog. luckily i had written down the color number just days before you did that (i thought i had, anyway). the color I had written down was S 0510-Y90R. My local paint store didn't know how to match it but we came up with a few different things we thought were similar and I had paint samples made of them. Went home to try them out but they weren't right so i went back for another 2 samples (if you're playing at home at this point I think I had 4 or 5 paint samples). Still didn't like those so broke down and ordered the paint online from a site where they did seem to be able to match the paint (myperfectcolor.com). Tried that paint as soon as it arrived but it looked odd - much too orangey, not at all like your picture. I picked up another sample paint color. Still didn't work. Waited for your paint post over the weekend, and when it finally arrived i saw that you had used a different color - S 1010-Y90R! So I ordered that one and it arrived yesterday and I tried it out on the wall and it still doesn't look anything like your photo - this color is much darker and sort of brown-ish. I am now up to 8 paint samples (!) and still can't seem to find the right color.
I so much appreciate your sharing what you've shared so far; I really trust your color choices and know that if I can just get the same color I will be happy with this room. But are there any other details you can give about that wall paint? Does it have a color name in addition to a number?
Here are the two different colors (along with a whole bunch of other pinks!) as they look on my wall:

You Once had à very bright happy Green colour, perhaps on a cupboard? I wonder what colourcode that might have Been?
Really sorry about your loss, and i do mean the hen in this case even though à tooth is à sort of a loss too.
Some of us don't know enough english to comment:( I'm reading!! Believe!
personally, i love reading all the paint info you have posted. your home is very beautiful!
i'm crazy about painting and i do it often - walls, accessories, anything. i'm currently painting my walls "rose dust" - a white paint with just a hint of pink to it. please keep writing!
Achttien is inderdaad geen erg grote response, maar de mensen die wel reageren waarderen de moeite die je je doet wel heel erg. Bedankt!
groetjes, Marianne.
Beautiful source of inspiration! Love the kitchen.
I second that. I am a daily (more than once a day I may add!) visitor to yvestown but don't always leave comments. The reaction to you deleting your blog and starting afresh in 2012 shows you just how many read, value and are truly inspired by your lovely blog! x
love your home.
Yvonne thanks so much for this! I always love your paint colours am delighted to have so much info, thrilled :)
Yvonne...thank you so much for the time and energy you put into this - it really is appreciated and really useful too! Martina
I love your paint guide :).
(and my husband is a Painter...)
i love, really love the garden
Thanks for sharing Yvonne. There are so many times when you see something in a blog post that you can't specifically trace the source of or colour of, so this IS really useful.
Tja er hangen hier ook weer 2 staaltjes aan de muur... lastig!
Ik vind vooral je lamp echt geweldig!
I'd be interested to know your views on the relative merits of gloss, satin and flat paint (not sure if these are the names you use).
I just used semi-gloss (I think that's also satin) in my dining room. I LOVE the finish - it's in a sunny room and looks very nice, if I say so myself :-)
I am also in the same group as Lindsay, I read your blogs often but I'm not a commenter. I found your paint guide really helpful especially after a recent disaster from painting a bed, all my husbands fault he couldnt be bothered to sand it first! Now he's just going to have to do it again.
One question I have is, do you ever use milk paints? I keep reading about them and apparently they are really easy to use and less toxic just not very easy to find. Thanks once again
loving your house!! Thanks for the info on the beautiful colours (specially the whites....so difficult I found it to choose...)
Looking forward to many many other posts about it!
I do love your kitchen!
I am astounded. Your home is BEAUTIFUL. Especially the kitchen. Wow! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you for the paint info. I just saw both posts today and find them very helpful. I was wondering what grit of sandpaper you used? I love reading your blog! Thank you!
I am with Michelleup there (perfectly stated). I have never commented but should have as you are completely BRILLIANT. Thank you. Thank you.

I think your post about painting are amazing!!!
Don't worry about the lack of comments there are a lot of people who read your posts and don't comment.

Oh my your garden is simply stunning! Thank you for a note of the paint colours that has been really useful. It would be great to know where you get your prints from.
Thanks for sharing Yvonne. There are so many times when you see something in a blog post that you can't specifically trace the source of or colour of, so this IS really useful.

I'm probably not alone here - I love the paint guides and info but don't often comment. It's all lovely - that pink chest of drawers is divine (I was wondering what colour it was when you originally posted it, so thank you!)
x
I personally love your paint guide! I am about to embark on the first paint jobs of my new house, so THANK YOU for your brilliant advice on colours and the numbers! I am looking for the perfect turquoise blue for some dining chairs. :)
Your kitchen is AMAZING! Seriously if I ever have a kitchen like this I will have made it in life.
SMACK!! You are the best!!!
I want to chime in immediately to let you know that I sincerely appreciate these paint guide posts. Thank you for taking the time to write everything out so carefully and clearly and for being ridiculously generous in sharing your hard earned wisdom and advice. And if that wasn't already enough, you're even sharing your paint colors! I sit in awe and gratitude. Seriously. You are a godsend.
Well I love it all and the paint info!!
