Happy New Things

Oh hello, happy 2018 form the woman who disappeared. Well I needed to disappear for a while as I needed to get some life stuff sorted and I did.

And I’m here to bring you good things again.

For too long I thought the new blogger name was influencer but I have decided to not be an influencer, as I don’t want to influence you, I’m a blogger and I’m here to inspire you. I never had the intention to become something that I’m not but I got dragged into it. I got dragged into a lot of stuff I am definitely not. Like being an author, a journalist and a person on the telly. I’m grateful I got to experience it all as it made me who I am today.

But I need to make a living, like we all do, so I sat down and looked back to everything I had done in the past and everything that made me truly happy. What did I play mostly as a child, what were my best weekend jobs, how can I be at service to you? So I decided that I have to make Yvestown offline available and coming March the doors of the Yvestown Tea Room and Shop will open.

It’s definitely scary stuff as I don’t have a clue what I’m doing but following my heart. I’m investing my last Yvestown money and all the hours I have spare and all the love I have to give. And I have this amazing husband as my wingman. Bo spends every single moment fixing up the shop with such enthusiasm and positivity it makes me week in the knees.

So watch this place, I’ll be here quite often again blogging like it’s 2005.

Heel veel succes ermee! Ik ben vooral benieuwd naar de spulletjes die je gaat verkopen. En ook wel naar de metamorfose van het gebouw. Ik kom zeker een kijkje nemen!

So happy to read that you will return into blogging again. I terribly miss some good old 2005 blogging.
Have been struggling with blogging myself, wondering if it actually makes any sense for people nowadays or if I am the only one loving a good blog post. Happy to read there are more of us 🙂
As to the new shop. I have been following your new journey in insta-stories and feel like booking a flight for March to come visit all the way from Athens. Really beautiful news. All the best <3

I think that blogs will be populair again if social media platforms keep messing up the fun for us. All the followers and popularity rules don’t apply for blogs in general. We can control and mention them the way we like and we can read them the way we like. So eventually we might all end up blogging again. That’s why I’m going to follow my old path because there was nothing wrong with that. Good luck finding your way and thank you so much for reading my blog and for taking the time to leave a comment xxxx
