Paella and Yvestown Kookt Winners

Cooking Paella is dead easy, it just takes a large pot and lots of chopping and stirring.

Serves: 4 Cooking Time: less than 30 mins


  • 150 gr paella rice
  • 150 gr yellow rice
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 400 gr chicken breast (chopped in chunks)
  • 1 tsp paprika (smoked)
  • ½ tsp chilli powder (or 1 tsp for extra spicy)
  • ground black pepper
  • 1 onion (chopped)
  • 200 gr Chorizo sausage
  • 1 red pepper
  • 1 green pepper
  • 200 gr large shrimp



Cook the rice as described on the packaging.


Heat the olive oil in a large pan and fry the chicken with the smoked paprika, chilli powder and ground black pepper until it's golden brown. Reduce heat to low.


Chop the onion and add to the pan.


Cut the chorizo sausage into slices and add to the pan.


Chop the peppers and add to the pan. Stir in the cooked rice.


Add the shrimp and stir for another 10 minutes before you remove it from the heat.
