We still need to renew the roof of our home but we’re still mentally not ready for it. As our house has a French roof, with renewing the roof we’ll also have to sacrifice our attic and second floor. And I can’t yet deal with all that mess in my life and being roofless for a week or so. We’ll do it next year, or the year after that, or …. We REALLY do need a new roof as this one is leaking and rotting. But for now the bats and mice and creepy crawlers can live happily and in peace between our rafters.
In about 2 weeks there will be a major photo-shoot for a serious fun magazine in our home so we had to patch up one of the four bedrooms on the second floor. We have been living in “brown land” for the past 7 years and it never really bothered me until today when all of a sudden the brown room was shiny bright and white. It’s not done the way it should be done but for the photo-shoot it works well enough.
When we are going to do it for real the ceilings will go up so that the beautiful windows are exposed. The ceiling will be replaced with a slicker tongue and groove and instead of having white windows, doors and skirting-boards they’ll be a contrasting colour as I believe in contrast. So this is an in-between bedroom makeover as you like.
Next up; in-between decorating.
