It’s noticeably getting autumn at my end. It’s been raining quite a lot and the leaves on my trees start to change colour. I love autumn.
Next weekend I’ll be selling my yarn at Supermarkt a creative market in my hometown organised by my friends, Sofie and Annemie. I mainly like to sell my yarn and introduce my upcoming November and December crochet courses for beginners but I also like to show people what they can do with the yarn, like I show you guys.
So I’ve made jar cosies as I like the effect and it’s really fast and simple to make.

You can use jam jars or vegetable jars and turn them into pencil holders, candle lights … They look so warn and cosy right?

Because I’ll be selling these I’ve marked the bottom of the jar with a Yvestown sticker. Everything that doesn’t sell next Sunday will be for sale in the prop shop.
There’s still a sale going on in my yarn shop and you can find the instructions on how to make your own jar cosies over there too.

Love it! Can’t wait for autumn too but here on the French Riviera it’s still summer!…

Zo leuk gedaan!
I would love to come to your beginner crochet class, but I live in Canada so that isn’t going to happen. (sad face) My friend has offered to teach me crochet and after I have practiced a bit I plan to make some of these. Thanks for the pattern.
Lekker hè, om alle potjes een gehaakt hoesje te geven
ziet er meteen veel mooier uit
xx

These are lovely. I love the idea of using them as tea light holders over jam jars. Cheap and beautiful – perfect. x
I love these! I collect vintage French confit jars which would be the perfect candidates for this project. xxx
Thanks for the pattern ! I was actually looking for something cute and nice to hold all my pens, I think this is the perfect excuse to make a jar cosy
Good happy morning to you:)
You mentioned that you would be having beginner crochet classes in November and December. Any chance these would be online classes? I so badly want to learn to crochet and can think of no better or more wonderful of a person than you to learn from. And though I live in Edinburg, it is Edinburg, Va. USA, so not exactly close enough to pop in for a class:(
If these aren’t on line classes, would you consider doing such class?
Love everything you do and your spirit.
